Kate is broadly experienced in family law with a high degree of detailed technical knowledge.
Pragmatic in style with an analytical eye, her sensible, no-nonsense approach delivers effective solutions for clients, saving them time and expense.
Kate graduated with Honours from Monash University in 2007, and joined Coote Family Lawyers in 2009. She completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution Practice in 2025 and is accredited with the Attorney General's Department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She has been a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in Family Law since 2018.
Kate is an expert in alternative dispute resolution and skilled in property settlements, financial matters, children's issues and situations involving family violence. She is a creative thinker in complex matters and a formidable negotiator – helping alleviate standstills that can occur.
Kate's other string to her bow is being a highly organised parent, soccer team manager and vice president of a community netball club.
