Justine Clark - Special Counsel and Accredited Family Law Specialist

Analytical, precise and strategic, Justine is tremendously skilled in statutory interpretation, has an in-depth understanding of case law and legislation and is an expert in the appellate jurisdiction.

Justine graduated with First Class Honours from Griffith University in 2009. During her time at university, Justine won a University Medal, the Advanced Family Law Clinic Prize, the Equal Opportunity Discrimination Law Prize, four annual Griffith Awards for Academic Excellence and the Justice Michael Kirby Award for her work on LGBTQI issues.

Upon graduating, Justine was an Associate to Justice Hugh Fraser QC in the Supreme Court of Queensland's Court of Appeal. Following this, Justine spent a year working in the Family Court of Australia in Melbourne as a Legal Associate to the Honourable Justice Peter Young QC.

Justine joined Coote Family Lawyers in 2014, bringing with her an extensive understanding of the family law courts, strong litigation skills and a commercial approach to assist clients in resolving their family law matters through negotiation and mediation and where necessary, litigation.

Justine's experience covers property settlements, parenting disputes, child support, financial agreements, de-facto and same-sex relationships advice and parentage.

Justine is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Victoria, the Law Institute of Victoria and its LIVOut Committee and volunteers at the Fitzroy Legal Service. She also recently became a Law Institute Accredited Family Law Specialist.
